Start with the simple case so you can confirm the task system is behaving the way you expect.
Open Tasks from the sidebar or mobile menu.
- You should see the task list and an action to add a task.
Use the add task action and enter a clear title, due date, and any rabbit or workflow details that belong with it.
- Use a title that tells you exactly what to do, such as "Check nest box for Juniper" rather than "Rabbit task".
Save the task and make sure it appears in the list.
- The task should appear in the task list with the date you selected.
- You now have a visible one-time task in the task list.
Add reminders or recurring timing only when needed
This prevents overcomplicating simple tasks while still letting repeated chores run automatically.
Enable reminder options and set the reminder date and time if the task should notify you.
- If reminders later feel wrong, check notification permission, reminder date, reminder time, and timezone settings before assuming the feature failed.
If the task repeats every day, week, or month, set recurrence instead of creating many copies manually.
- The saved task should show recurring behavior or series controls if recurrence is enabled.
- The task should now be set up as either a one-time action or a repeating task, not both by accident.
Check automatically generated tasks separately
This helps you understand the difference between tasks you create and tasks produced by breeding or litter workflows.
After you create a breeding or work with litter milestones, check the task list to make sure expected follow-up tasks appeared.
- If those tasks are missing, review the related settings before you manually rebuild everything yourself.
