Use Export Upcoming PDF And Print Breeding Tags
Learn the difference between the full upcoming-breedings PDF and the smaller breeding-tag print flow from the responsive Breedings actions.
Use the Breedings page to export upcoming breeding records to PDF and print breeding tags without guessing which button does what.
8-10 minutes
Desktop: Open Breedings from the left sidebar, then use Export Upcoming PDF or Print Breeding Tags in the page header.
Mobile: Tap the menu button, open Breedings, expand Breeding reports & print, then choose Export Upcoming PDF or Print Breeding Tags.
- Make sure the breedings you care about are still current, meaning Planned or In Progress.
- Clean up doe names, buck names, and pairing dates first if the output will be shared or printed.
Overview
- The Breedings page has two print/export tools for current breedings, and each one is meant for a different kind of output.
When To Use
- You want a printable planning list of current breedings.
- You want tag-style cards for specific current breedings.
Step-By-Step Guide
Use Export Upcoming PDF for a planning document
This export is the clean summary of current breedings.
Open Breedings from the sidebar or mobile menu.
- You should see the Breeding Planner with current and previous breeding views.
Use current breeding records and any search filters you need before exporting.
- The upcoming export is intended for current breeding records, not finished historical ones.
On desktop, use Export Upcoming PDF in the visible page actions. On mobile, expand Breeding reports & print first.
- A PDF download should start for the current breeding records included by the export flow.
- You know Export Upcoming PDF is for the full current-breedings planning summary.
Use Print Breeding Tags for tag-style cards
This is the smaller, tag-format output for current breedings.
On desktop, use Print Breeding Tags in the visible page actions. On mobile, expand Breeding reports & print first.
- You should see the Print Breeding Tags modal.
Select the current breeding tags to print, adjust the layout if needed, and review the preview.
- The modal keeps the fixed tag layout and only prints the selected breedings.
Finish the modal action to build the breeding-tag PDF.
- You should receive a breeding-tag PDF for the selected current breedings.
- You know Print Breeding Tags is the tag-format output for selected current breedings.
You're Done When
- You know Export Upcoming PDF is the full current-breeding planning export.
- You know Print Breeding Tags opens the selection modal for tag-style output.
- You know both tools work from Breedings, with a compact Breeding reports & print disclosure on mobile, not from Reports.
Common Mistakes
- Using Print Breeding Tags when you actually needed the full current-breeding PDF.
- Expecting previous or finished breedings to behave like current breeding export records.
When To Contact Support
- Export Upcoming PDF or Print Breeding Tags is missing from the Breedings actions or mobile Breeding reports & print disclosure.
- The export runs but leaves out current breedings you expected to be included.
