Overview

  • Reports and exports turn stored data into decisions, documents, and outside-ready files.

When To Use

  • You want to review trends, print documents, or move data outside the app.

Step-By-Step Guide

1

Use the Rabbits section for herd-list exports

If you need a list of rabbits rather than a general report dashboard, start in Rabbits.

1.1 Open Rabbits

Open Rabbits from the sidebar or mobile menu.

What You Should See
  • You should see the herd list and its related controls.
1.2 Use the herd list export from Rabbits

Look for the herd list export or related output inside the Rabbits area when you want a rabbit list export.

Watch For This
  • Do not start in Reports if what you really need is the herd list export from Rabbits.
You Should Now Have
  • You know to use Rabbits for herd list exports.
2

Use each workflow section for its own specialty exports

Many exports live with the workflow that creates the data, not in one giant export page.

2.1 Open Cages for cage reports

Go to Cages when you want cage reports or housing-related exports.

What You Should See
  • You should be in the section where cage reports belong.
2.2 Open Shows for show reports

Go to Shows when you want show-specific reports or rosters.

What You Should See
  • You should be in the section where show reports belong.
2.3 Open Tasks for task exports

Go to Tasks when you want task-related exports.

What You Should See
  • You should be in the section where task exports belong.
2.4 Open Sales for the tax report

Go to Sales when you want the tax report or sales-related financial output.

What You Should See
  • You should be in the section where the tax report belongs.
2.5 Open Harvest for processing reports

Go to Harvest when you want processing reports or harvest-related output.

What You Should See
  • You should be in the section where processing reports belong.
You Should Now Have
  • You know that section-specific exports live in the feature that owns the data.
3

Use Reports for the general reporting area

Reports is still the right place when you want the broader export/report section rather than a feature-specific export button.

3.1 Open Reports

Open Reports from the sidebar or mobile menu.

What You Should See
  • You should see the general Reports area.
3.2 Use the export/report options there for broader reporting

Use the export report tools inside Reports when you want the main reporting area rather than a feature-specific export from another section.

Watch For This
  • Check filters before exporting so you do not generate the wrong slice of data.
3.3 Use Profit & Cost Tracking for pricing and management decisions

Open Profit & Cost Tracking when you want managerial unit-economics estimates for rabbits, litters, projects, grow-outs, and processing. See the dedicated Profit & Cost Tracking guide for costs-to-include choices, Allocation Review, and what stays outside cash/tax totals.

What You Should See
  • The Profit & Cost Tracking workspace with Overview, Rabbits, Litters, Projects, Processing, and Allocation Review.
Watch For This
  • This managerial report is intentionally separate from the existing financial and tax summaries.
3.4 Use 4-H Record Book for project-year supporting records

Open 4-H Record Book when a member needs a supporting PDF or CSV built from herd data. See the dedicated 4-H Record Book guide for project scope, selected expenses, story drafts, and local-requirement checks.

What You Should See
  • The 4-H Record Book Builder with Set Up, Choose Records, Complete Sections, Story & Photos, and Review & Export.
Watch For This
  • This is a flexible supporting record, not an official county form.
You Should Now Have
  • You know when to use Reports versus a feature-specific export in another tab.

You're Done When

  • You know to use Rabbits for herd list exports.
  • You know that cage, show, task, tax, and processing exports live in their own sections.
  • You know Reports is for the general reporting/export area, including Profit & Cost Tracking and 4-H Record Book.

Common Mistakes

  • Trying to use one report to answer a question the underlying data has not been entered to support.
  • Exporting before confirming filters or display options.

FAQ

Why does a report seem incomplete?

Reports only summarize the data that actually exists. Missing or outdated records upstream will appear as gaps in reporting.

Why is the breeder productivity or kit color report sparse?

Those reports depend on linked litter parents, accurate litter totals, kit colors, and promotion history. If those fields are only partially filled in, the report will look lighter than expected.

When To Contact Support

  • The export you need is missing from the section that should own it even after you verify that feature is enabled.
  • An export starts but produces obviously wrong or empty data even though the source records exist.

Still Stuck?

If the guide got you close but the app still does not match what this tutorial says should happen, contact support and mention the article title, the exact step where you got stuck, and what you saw instead.
