Desktop: Open Rabbits from the left sidebar, then use Print Cage Card, Herd List PDF, or Herd List CSV from the Rabbits page actions.
Mobile: Tap the menu button, open Rabbits, expand More herd tools, then choose Print Cage Card, Herd List PDF, or Herd List CSV.
- Make sure the rabbits you want to include already have clean names, statuses, and cage assignments if needed.
- Remember that these exports live in their feature-specific sections, not all inside Reports.
- For an exact-size cage card, use US Letter paper and plan to print the downloaded PDF at Actual Size or 100% with browser or printer scaling turned off.

Step-By-Step Guide
Use Rabbits for cage cards
Cage cards are started from the Rabbits page even though they are useful in the barn.
Open Rabbits from the sidebar or mobile menu.
- You should see the herd list and its page actions.
Use Print Cage Card on the Rabbits page when you want printable QR cage cards tied to rabbit records.
- This opens the cage-card generator from the Rabbits workflow.
- Large and Compact preserve the existing sheet choices. The exact-size choices add 2 × 3 inch and 3 × 5 inch cards.
Choose Large, Compact, 2 × 3 inches, or 3 × 5 inches. The exact 2 × 3 and 3 × 5 formats support Portrait and Landscape, including a 3-inch-wide by 2-inch-high horizontal card. The sheet automatically uses portrait or landscape Letter orientation to fit more exact-size cards per page.
- The generator shows the exact card width, height, and number of cards placed on each US Letter page.
The full rabbit name and Rabbitry Run QR code always remain on the card. Use Card fields to optionally include the barn name or nickname, status, breed, color, sex, date of birth, age, tattoo, housing, latest weight, genotype, sire, dam, and notes.
- Your format, orientation, field choices, and body text size are saved with your profile for the next session.
- If a selected rabbit has more detail than the chosen card can comfortably hold, Rabbitry Run shows a crowding warning. Download remains available, and the printed card reduces its body text and reclaims the full-width area below the QR code instead of printing a nonfunctional More label.
Confirm the rabbits you want included and review the generated card output before printing a larger batch.
- If names, barn names, or linked record details are stale, the printed cage cards will be stale too.
Download the PDF, select US Letter paper, and print at Actual Size or 100%. Do not use Fit to page or Shrink oversized pages. Measure one test card and scan its QR code before printing a large batch.
- A 2 × 3 Landscape card measures 3 inches wide by 2 inches high after printing and cutting on its border.
- You know cage cards are started from the Rabbits page, not the Cages page.
Use Rabbits for herd list exports
The herd list exports live beside the cage-card action on the Rabbits page.
Open Rabbits from the sidebar or mobile menu.
- You should see the herd list and its related controls.
Use tabs, search, status filters, breed filters, or show-team filters to narrow the list before exporting.
- The herd list export follows the visible selection logic more cleanly when you narrow the view first.
Choose the herd list output from Rabbits when you want a printable herd list or spreadsheet-ready rabbit list.
- Do not start in Reports if what you really need is the Rabbits-page herd list export.
- You know to use Rabbits when the goal is a herd list PDF or herd list CSV.
