Desktop: Open Rabbits, open a rabbit profile, choose View Pedigree, select Pedigree or Birth Certificate, then choose Appearance.

- Pedigree and Birth Certificate have separate saved appearance settings. Select the document type before opening Appearance so you edit the intended document.
- The preview updates as settings change, and print, PNG, and PDF exports use the same saved appearance.
- Basic mode keeps the most common choices visible. Advanced mode reveals detailed color, gradient, typography, opacity, registration-field, artwork-placement, and custom-frame controls.

Borders: choose a page-edge frame, filter the available frame categories, then adjust supported opacity, inset, or weight settings. Use the separate custom-artwork guide for uploaded image frames and recolorable masks.

Colors: apply a coordinated palette first, then fine-tune Document, Accent, Frame Border, cards or certificate fields, branding, and text colors. Advanced gradients let you choose start and end colors, strength, angle, balance, and the document surfaces that receive the gradient.

Fonts: choose a pairing or set Primary Font and Secondary Font separately. Primary controls headings and the rabbitry name; Secondary controls rabbit or certificate details and branding information. The two size sliders scale those roles independently.

Cards: Density changes spacing without removing data. On pedigrees, Card corners, Card border, Card shadow, and Card header change rabbit-box styling. Color cards by Standard uses one card treatment, Sex uses separate buck and doe colors, and Lineage distinguishes sire and dam branches. On certificates, this section controls document spacing and field surfaces instead.

Content: turn rabbit details and registration fields on or off. Pedigrees can show photos, breeds, notes, wins, genotypes, ear tattoo, legs, GC number, and registration number; use Field order arrows to control the sequence. Document title can use Pedigree, a custom title, or be hidden, and Header layout changes its placement.

Branding: choose the pedigree branding layout and which saved rabbitry contact fields appear. Show Rabbitry Logo adds the profile logo, Signature Line and Printed By Line control footer labels, and Light Document Colors switches the preview and export to a light background with dark text.

Use a section Reset when only that group needs to return to its default. Reset to Defaults clears the document appearance more broadly. Review both orientations and the intended generation count before downloading or printing.

Common Mistakes
- Customizing Pedigree and expecting Birth Certificate to change automatically. Their saved settings are separate.
- Changing many advanced controls at once instead of starting with a style or palette and refining a few settings.
- Using Reset to Defaults when only one section needed to be reset.
- Hiding a content field and then assuming its underlying rabbit data was deleted. Appearance controls only change the document output.
If Something Still Looks Wrong
Why does my certificate not match my pedigree?
They keep separate appearance settings. Select Birth Certificate, open Appearance, and apply or recreate the style there.
Why is a field missing from the document?
Open Content and check its visibility toggle. For pedigree fields, also review Field order; hidden fields remain saved on the rabbit profile.
Why does a color or font look different after I choose another style?
Applying a style changes the style values. Choose the style first, then apply your color, font, and layout refinements before saving the result as a reusable style.
Why is the designer short on my phone?
Use the expand control at the top of the mobile designer sheet, then scroll the section tabs horizontally.
