Upload supported rabbit files, handle older document formats safely, and place a signature directly on pedigree and birth-certificate footers without changing document dimensions.
Upload supported rabbit files, handle older document formats safely, and place a signature directly on pedigree and birth-certificate footers without changing document dimensions.
About 16 minutes
Desktop: Open Rabbits, open a rabbit profile, then use Documents or View Pedigree.
Mobile: Open Rabbits, open a rabbit profile, then use Documents or View Pedigree.
- Open an existing rabbit profile.
- Add at least one saved signature under Profile → Signatures before signing an export.
Overview
- New rabbit-document uploads accept JPG, PNG, and PDF. Rabbitry Run resolves the file from authenticated storage when online, a cached blob when offline, or a legacy URL when necessary.
- Open and Download are separate actions. Unknown historical formats receive a clear fallback instead of being rendered as a broken image.
- Pedigree and birth-certificate signatures are movable footer overlays. Adding, dragging, or resizing one does not change the Letter page, pedigree, or footer dimensions.
When To Use
- You need to store a registration, pedigree, receipt, show form, health document, or other file with a rabbit.
- You want to open a document for viewing or download the original file separately.
- You want to add and directly position an authorized signature on a pedigree or birth certificate.
Step-By-Step Guide
Step 1
Follow this action exactly in the Open, Download, And Sign Rabbit Documents workflow.
Open the rabbit profile → Documents and upload a JPG, PNG, or PDF. New uploads preserve the sanitized original filename, resolved MIME type, storage path, and file size.
- The page should remain in the same workflow and be ready for the next step.
- You should be ready to continue to the next step.
Step 2
Use Open for a supported image or PDF preview. Use Download when you want the original filename and resolved file type saved to the device.
- The page should remain in the same workflow and be ready for the next step.
- You should be ready to continue to the next step.
Step 3
If an older file has a missing or incorrect MIME type, let Rabbitry Run inspect its filename and resolved blob. Unsupported historical files show a fallback instead of a broken image preview.
- The page should remain in the same workflow and be ready for the next step.
- You should be ready to continue to the next step.
Step 4
To sign a document, choose View Pedigree, select Pedigree or Birth Certificate, enable Sign, and choose the saved signature.
- The page should remain in the same workflow and be ready for the next step.
- You should be ready to continue to the next step.
Step 5
Drag the selected signature within the footer overlay. It may overlap footer text and the lower footer area without moving other page content.
- The page should remain in the same workflow and be ready for the next step.
- You should be ready to continue to the next step.
Step 6
Resize proportionally from the visible touch-friendly handle, or use the compact slider and minus/plus controls. The supported range is 50% through 350%.
- The page should remain in the same workflow and be ready for the next step.
- You should be ready to continue to the next step.
Step 7
Use Reset to restore the document-type placement. Pedigree and Birth Certificate keep separate global transforms that persist when the editor is reopened.
- The page should remain in the same workflow and be ready for the next step.
- You should be ready to continue to the next step.
Step 8
Review the preview, then print or export PNG/PDF. The export uses the same transform and omits selection borders, resize handles, and other editor controls.
- Supported documents open or download correctly, unsupported historical files fail clearly, and the signed preview matches print, PNG, and PDF output without changing page dimensions.
- Supported documents open or download correctly, unsupported historical files fail clearly, and the signed preview matches print, PNG, and PDF output without changing page dimensions.
You're Done When
- Supported documents open or download correctly, unsupported historical files fail clearly, and the signed preview matches print, PNG, and PDF output without changing page dimensions.
Common Mistakes
- Expecting Open and Download to do the same thing.
- Uploading an unsupported new file type instead of JPG, PNG, or PDF.
- Looking for resize handles in an exported file. Interaction controls are editor-only.
- Expecting Pedigree placement changes to alter the Birth Certificate placement.
If Something Still Looks Wrong
Why does an older file not preview?
Use Download if the format is unsupported. Rabbitry Run will not guess that an unknown file is an image.
Why can I not move the signature lower?
Drag from the signature itself, not the resize handle. The footer overlay includes additional lower overlap room while keeping the document size fixed.
Why did the page move while dragging?
Signature placement is excluded from document-fit measurements. If the preview still shifts, use Fit once and contact support with the document type and device.
