Before You Start
  • Moon Phase Breeding Insights must be enabled in Settings before new records are automatically tagged.
  • Breeding records need a pairing date, and litter records need a birth or kindling date, for moon data to be calculated.

Overview

  • Moon Phase Breeding Insights adds moon phase tracking to breeding and kindling records so you can compare your rabbitry outcomes over time.
  • The feature is designed for observed trends and recordkeeping, not as a guarantee that a certain moon phase will produce a certain result.

When To Use

  • You want moon phase, moon sign, illumination, Prime Doe Days, or Prime Sire Days visible while planning and reviewing breedings.
  • You want future reports to compare breeding outcomes by moon phase or waxing and waning periods.

You're Done When

  • New or edited breeding and litter records include moon phase details when the feature is enabled.
  • The Dashboard calendar shows daily moon phases and subtle Prime Doe or Prime Sire signals.
  • Reports can summarize completed outcomes by moon phase once your records include enough usable dates.

Common Mistakes

  • Expecting planned or in-progress breedings to count as completed outcomes in personalized trends.
  • Treating Prime Doe Days or Prime Sire Days as guaranteed predictions instead of planning signals and observed-trend context.
  • Changing a date but forgetting to save the record, which means the recalculated moon data is not stored.

If Something Still Looks Wrong

Why can older breedings or litters show moon details?

When the feature is enabled, Rabbitry Run can calculate display and report details from an existing valid date without rewriting the saved record.

Why does a calendar day show Neutral?

Neutral means the date is not currently highlighted by the almanac baseline or a qualifying pattern in your completed rabbitry outcomes.

Why does the calendar mention building my baseline?

Rabbitry Run needs at least 12 completed breedings, with enough outcomes in a phase, before it adds personalized Prime Day context.

FAQ

Does this predict breeding success?

No. Moon Phase Breeding Insights is for tracking and observed trends. It does not guarantee conception, litter size, kit survival, or any other outcome.

Where do Prime Doe Days and Prime Sire Days come from?

The calendar begins with an almanac baseline and adds descriptive context from your completed rabbitry outcomes once enough history is available.

What happens if I turn the feature off?

Rabbitry Run stops adding new moon data while the setting is off, but it does not delete moon data that was already saved on records.

Does the feature work offline?

Yes. Moon calculations happen in the app before records are saved or synced, so the data travels with the same offline-safe record updates.
