Track Sales, Buyers, Contacts, And Waitlists
Keep your rabbit sales process organized from interested buyers through completed sales and follow-up notes.
Use the Sales & Finances page correctly so contacts, waitlist entries, sales history, and purchase history all stay in the right place.
8-12 minutes for your first setup
Desktop: Open Sales from the left sidebar. The page title is Sales & Finances.
Mobile: Tap the menu button, then tap Sales. The page title is Sales & Finances.
- Have at least one rabbit or sale item in mind if you want to test a transaction workflow.
- Know the names of the buyers, sellers, or contacts you work with most often.
Overview
- Sales & Finances works best when you treat each tab as a specific record area instead of trying to keep everything in one notes field.
When To Use
- You want to log completed sales, track expenses and purchases, store contact records, or keep buyer interest organized in a waitlist.
Step-By-Step Guide
Learn the page layout before entering anything
The Sales page is easier to use once you know which tab owns which kind of record.
Open Sales from the sidebar or mobile menu.
- You should see the Sales & Finances page with the tabs Overview, Sales History, Purchase History, Contacts, and Waitlist.
Use Overview for summaries, Sales History for completed sales, Purchase History for expenses or purchases, Contacts for people records, and Waitlist for future buyer interest.
- Do not expect one tab to hold every type of finance or buyer record. The page is intentionally split by record type.
- You know which tab to open before starting a sale, purchase, contact, or waitlist task.
Create the people records first
Contacts make the rest of the sales workflow easier because sales and waitlist records can point back to a real person.
Click or tap the Contacts tab on the Sales & Finances page.
- You should see the Contacts tab and the Add Contact button.
Choose Add Contact and enter the buyer, seller, or household you want to remember.
- At minimum, enter the name and any notes you need to recognize the person later.
- Add email, phone, or other details if you already have them.
- If you skip Contacts, your later sales and waitlist records are harder to trace back to the right person.
- You now have reusable contact records for future transactions and conversations.
Log finished sales and purchases in the correct tabs
Sales and purchases are separate records on purpose so income and expenses do not get mixed together.
Click or tap Sales History, then use Add Sale when a rabbit or item has actually been sold.
- You should see the Sales History tab and the Add Sale button.
Fill in the rabbit or item, the contact if applicable, the sale date, and any notes you want tied to the sale.
- Use the real sale date when possible.
- If you do not have a final dollar amount yet, you can still save the sale record and come back later.
- Do not leave a completed sale only in a message thread or notebook if you want rabbit history and buyer history to stay accurate in the app.
Click or tap Purchase History, then use Log Purchase for feed, supplies, equipment, or other expense-side entries.
- You should see the Purchase History tab and the Log Purchase button.
- If you are trying to record money going out, you are probably in the wrong tab if you only see sales controls. Switch to Purchase History.
- Your completed sales and your purchases now live in separate, easier-to-review records.
Use Waitlist for future buyer interest
Waitlist is for people who want something later, not for transactions that are already complete.
Click or tap the Waitlist tab on the Sales & Finances page.
- You should see the Waitlist tab and the Add to Waitlist button.
Add the contact and the kind of rabbit, color, litter timing, or notes they are waiting for.
- Write the request in plain language you will understand later, such as breed, color, sex preference, or target timing.
Return to Overview when you want a summary view instead of editing individual records.
- You should see summary cards or financial overview information rather than the edit lists from the other tabs.
- Future buyer interest is now separated from completed transactions, and your overview remains easier to read.
You're Done When
- You can point to the exact tab for contacts, completed sales, purchases, and waitlist entries.
- At least one contact, sale, purchase, or waitlist entry saves in the place you expected.
- You know Overview is a summary tab rather than the place to create every record.
Common Mistakes
- Putting purchase expenses into sales notes instead of the Purchase History tab.
- Keeping buyer details only in memory or private notes instead of saving a contact first.
- Forgetting that Waitlist is for future interest, not completed sales.
FAQ
Can I log a sale without a price yet?
Yes. Sales History supports saving the sale record even if you still need to add the final dollar amount later.
Where do purchases or expenses go?
Use the Purchase History tab in Sales & Finances and the Log Purchase button for expense-side entries.
When To Contact Support
- A record saves, but it does not appear in the correct tab afterward.
- Contacts, sales, or purchases disappear after saving or after you refresh the page.
Still Stuck?
