Step-By-Step Guide
Open Workspace navigation in Settings
Appearance is the home for app-wide defaults and overrides.
Open Settings, then scroll to the Appearance card and the Workspace navigation section.
- You should see Small-screen default, Larger-screen default, and Workspace overrides.
On Sales & Finances, Harvest & Processing, Project Details, or Notifications, choose Layout to jump straight to that workspace override.
- Settings should open focused on Workspace navigation for that workspace.
- You are editing workspace navigation layouts, not sidebar visibility.
Set defaults, then override only when useful
Most breeders only need the two screen-size defaults.
Pick Compact Dropdown, Scrollable Tabs, or Visible Buttons for screens under 640px.
- Compact Dropdown uses the least space and opens the section list when needed.
- Scrollable Tabs keeps sections in one familiar row that can scroll sideways.
- Visible Buttons shows every section and wraps to new rows instead of scrolling sideways.
Pick the layout for screens 640px and wider. It can differ from the phone default.
Under Workspace overrides, change Small screens or Larger screens for Sales & Finances, Harvest & Processing, Project Details, or Notifications. Use app default removes the override.
- Leave overrides on Use app default unless that workspace truly needs a different presentation.
Click Apply navigation layouts to save. Use Restore navigation defaults if you want Compact Dropdown on small screens and Scrollable Tabs on larger screens again.
- A success message confirms the layouts updated.
- Supported workspaces use the layouts you applied for each screen size.
Know what this does not change
Layout preferences stay separate from feature visibility and rabbit folder controls.
Open Profile → Customize Your Experience when you want sidebar areas such as Reports or Storefront visible or hidden, then Save Profile & Preferences.
- That controls whether a feature appears in navigation, not how its internal tabs are presented.
Open Rabbits → Customize Sections for Compact Dropdown, Scrollable Tabs, or Visible Buttons on rabbit folders.
- Rabbit Sections intentionally do not follow the app-wide workspace defaults.
- You can tell workspace layouts apart from sidebar visibility and rabbit folder layouts.

If Something Still Looks Wrong
Why did my sidebar links not change?
Workspace navigation layouts do not show or hide sidebar sections. Use Profile → Customize Your Experience Navigation, then Save Profile & Preferences.
Why did Rabbit Sections stay the same?
Rabbit folder layouts are configured under Rabbits → Customize Sections and are independent from app-wide workspace defaults.
Why did nothing save?
Workspace navigation uses Apply navigation layouts in that Settings section. Leaving without applying keeps the previous saved layouts.
