Overview

  • Rabbit sales can start from the sales workflow, a For Sale rabbit profile, or the Rabbits-page bulk selection workflow depending on how many rabbits you are selling and how you think about the transaction.

When To Use

  • You want to log a normal rabbit sale from Sales & Finances.
  • You want to sell one For Sale rabbit from its profile.
  • You need to log a grouped or separate multi-rabbit sale from the Rabbits-page Log Sale action.

Step-By-Step Guide

1

Use Sales & Finances when you are working from the sales side first

This is the broadest sale-entry starting point.

1.1 Open Sales & Finances

Open Sales & Finances from the sidebar or mobile menu.

What You Should See
  • You should see the Sales & Finances area with tabs such as Overview, Sales History, Purchase History, Contacts, and Waitlist.
1.2 Start a sale from the sales workflow

Use the sale-entry flow from Sales & Finances when you are thinking about the transaction first rather than starting from a rabbit.

Why This Step Matters
  • This is usually the easiest place to work if you are already managing contacts, sale records, or buyer history.
You Should Now Have
  • You know the sales page is one of the three places where sale logging starts.
2

Use the rabbit profile when one For Sale rabbit is being sold

This is the cleanest path for a one-rabbit sale that starts from the rabbit record.

2.1 Open the rabbit profile

Go to Rabbits and open the rabbit you are selling after it has already been moved to For Sale.

What You Should See
  • You should be on that rabbit's profile, with the profile Log Sale action available because the rabbit is For Sale.
2.2 Use Log Sale from the rabbit profile

If the rabbit is For Sale, use the Log Sale button from the profile to open the sale flow for that rabbit.

Why This Step Matters
  • This is ideal when one rabbit is selling and you want to work directly from its record.
2.3 Save the sale and confirm the status change

Complete the buyer and sale details, then save the sale.

What You Should See
  • The rabbit should move into the sold workflow and the sale should be linked back to that rabbit.
You Should Now Have
  • You know the rabbit profile is the fastest path for a single sale after that rabbit is marked For Sale.
3

Use Log Sale on Rabbits for multi-rabbit sales

This is the right option when several rabbits are being sold together or at the same time.

3.1 Open Rabbits and click Log Sale

Use the always-visible Log Sale action to enter selection mode from the Rabbits page.

What You Should See
  • You should see row checkboxes plus selection tools such as Select All Visible and Clear.
3.2 Select the rabbits and click Log Sale again

Choose the rabbits involved, then use Log Sale to open the sale flow.

Why This Step Matters
  • This is the entry point for both grouped and separate multi-rabbit sales.
3.3 Choose Grouped sale when one record should cover several rabbits

Use Grouped sale when the rabbits belong on one sale record, such as a bundle or one shared transaction.

Watch For This
  • Grouped sale is one sale record tied to multiple rabbits.
3.4 Choose Separate sales when each rabbit needs its own sale record

Use Separate sales when each rabbit needs its own buyer, price, date, notes, or contact details.

Why This Step Matters
  • This is the correct choice when the rabbits sold on the same day but went to different buyers or for different prices.
What You Should See
  • You should see a separate sale-entry card for each selected rabbit so buyer, date, and price can vary by rabbit.
You Should Now Have
  • You know how to use bulk sale logging for grouped or separate multi-rabbit sales.

You're Done When

  • You know the three sale-entry starting points: Sales & Finances, a For Sale rabbit profile Log Sale button, and Log Sale on the Rabbits page.
  • You know when to use Grouped sale versus Separate sales.
  • You know Separate sales gives each selected rabbit its own sale-entry box and its own sale record.

Common Mistakes

  • Using Grouped sale when the rabbits actually need different buyers or different prices.
  • Forgetting that Separate sales creates one sale record per rabbit, not one shared sale record.
  • Expecting a section move to Sold to create a sale entry.

FAQ

Can a sale be paid in deposits or multiple payments?

Yes. Use Deposit / partial when creating the sale, then use Payments on the sale row to manage later payments and Complete Sale. See the Sale deposits and payments guide for details.

When To Contact Support

  • Saving a sale does not move the rabbit into the sold workflow as expected.
  • Separate sales does not give each selected rabbit its own buyer, price, or date entry fields.
