Use the Overview tab in Sales & Finances to export the tax report PDF and understand what that report is actually for.
Export the tax report from the right place in Sales & Finances so you can hand off a clean income-and-expense summary without guessing where it lives.
3-5 minutes
Desktop: Open Sales & Finances from the left sidebar, stay on the Overview tab, then use Tax Report (PDF).
Mobile: Tap the menu button, open Sales & Finances, stay on the Overview tab, then use Tax Report (PDF).

- Know which year you want to review before exporting the PDF.
Overview
- The tax report lives on the Overview tab of Sales & Finances inside the Financial Performance card.
- Its purpose is to summarize income and expenses for a selected year or all time so you have a cleaner handoff for bookkeeping or tax prep.
When To Use
- You want a PDF summary of income and expenses from the sales side of the app.
- You need a year-specific financial summary for your records, accountant, or tax preparer.
Step-By-Step Guide
Open the correct part of Sales & Finances
The tax report is on Overview, not in the transaction tabs.
Open Sales from the sidebar or mobile menu. The page title is Sales & Finances.
- You should see the Sales & Finances page with the tabs Overview, Sales History, Purchase History, Contacts, and Waitlist.
Click or tap the Overview tab if another tab is already active.
- You should see the Financial Performance area rather than the Sales History or Purchase History lists.
Use the Fiscal Year dropdown near the top right of the Financial Performance area to pick the year you want, or choose All Time if that is what you need.
- The Financial Performance card should now be filtered to the selected year or All Time.
- You are now on the exact screen that owns the tax report export.
Review what the report is summarizing
A quick glance here helps you confirm you are exporting the correct time period and totals.
Review Total Income, Total Expenses, and Net Profit so you know whether the selected period looks correct.
- If the numbers look obviously wrong, stop and review missing or miscategorized sales and purchases before exporting.
Look at the chart and the month-by-month rows in the Financial Performance card to make sure the year selection matches what you expect.
- You should see the selected year in the card title plus the Export CSV and Tax Report (PDF) buttons.
- You have confirmed that the PDF is about to summarize the period you actually want.
Export and use the PDF correctly
This is the final handoff step.
Use the Tax Report (PDF) button in the Financial Performance card actions.
- A PDF download should start for the selected year or all-time range.
Open the downloaded PDF and make sure it reflects the totals and date range you expected before sending it anywhere else.
- This report is useful for bookkeeping and tax preparation because it groups income and expense information into one cleaner summary.
- You now have the tax report PDF from the correct place in the app.
You're Done When
- You know the tax report lives on Sales & Finances > Overview.
- You know the Fiscal Year dropdown affects what the PDF contains.
- You understand the PDF is a financial summary for bookkeeping or tax prep, not just a sales list.
Common Mistakes
- Looking for the tax report in Sales History instead of Overview.
- Exporting the PDF before checking the Fiscal Year selector.
- Treating the PDF as a replacement for your accountant instead of a cleaner summary from the app.
